Yoshimichi Kameda

Yoshimichi Kameda(亀田　祥倫) was born in 1984, in Hiroshima Prefecture. After graduating from Onomichi City University, Faculty of Artistic Culture Arts & Design Department, he joined anime studio AIC in Tokyo. After his work in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood he left AIC, and is now working as a freelance.

When he was younger seeing Hiroyuki Imaishi’s scenes in Gainax’s shows sparked his interested in key animation. Kameda’s motion is strongly influenced by Imaishi and the Kanada School in its exaggerated perspective, energetic timing, and vigorous posing. The most distinctive aspect of Kameda’s animation is his use of a sumi-e brush for emphasis, resulting in a uniquely expressive lineart1.

His most famous works are Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Mob Psycho 100. He uses pen names Sazan Sukiyo(砂山好世), Sazanka Sukiyo(砂山ヶ好世), Namiten Yuzujin(波典譲仁). He tends to work with studios Bones and Shin Ei.
