Shingo Fujii

Shingo Fujii (藤井慎吾) was born in 1983.

Animator from AIC contemporary to Yoshimichi Kameda and Shinichi Kurita, currently freelance. Called a disciple of Soichiro Matsuda by Yasushi Muraki¹.

While his character animation is recognizably jerky, Fujii is most commonly known for his circus cuts. His scenes are marked by their swiveling camerawork, shifting depth of field, comparative lack of projectiles, unorthodox camera angles, and tendency to position the camera close to the action. Has worked on a number of webgen-heavy projects (he solo animated the Muromi-san OVA ED)¹.

Extensively animated for Star Driver; one of his cuts in the finale reportedly took up 800 drawings¹.
