Kouji Itou(伊藤　浩二) started his career at Neomedia after attending the same vocational school as Toshiyuki Inoue. now is freelance.

After leaving Neomedia, he joined Shouichi Masuo, Hideaki Anno and Katsuhiko Nishijima to establish the short lived studio Graviton. After leaving Graviton he worked for Production Reed and Actas before going freelance. As of 2015, he was enrolled in Typhoon Graphics.

One of the most experienced mecha animators of the industry. Designed and supervised mecha for a lot of shows. His style during the 80's was heavily influenced by Masahito Yamashita in regards of effects, and by Yoshinori Kanada in regards to timing. Yet his style is destructive. His recent works still clearly show his Kanada-style roots of the 80's.
